Aren't these pearls lovely? They are all from the late 19th century or early 20th
century, to the best of my knowledge. Included are (from left to right,
starting at the top row: an
etched
pearl, an etched smoky pearl with individual steel estucheons, a hand-painted pearl,
a carved smoky pearl, (second row) an etched pearl with an individual steel
estucheon, a peal with an enameled estusheon, another intricately carved smoked pearl, a
pearl with a handpainted flower in a pot, (bottom row) a pearl with a handpainted floral
scene, a carved smoky pearl with individually applied steel estucheons, another etced
pearl, and a dyed (blue) and carved pearl! I have tried to be as accurate as possible in
my descriptions--anyone with additonal info, please contact me!

with gilding (?) in the etching, a carved or applied (??--help here, oh button gurus)
smoky on light pearl, a pearl with a sunspoke estucheon, a pearl with a boat wheel

etched and gilded smoky pearl, another etched pearl with estucheons of steel, and,
finally, a lovely hand painted pearl. SORRY I cut out the pictures on the right
side; my scanner is new!!
