SHADOWDRESS.GIF (21038 bytes)The fashions of the 50s and 60s were incredible--and Miss Revlon, Dollikins, Cissy,Tammy, Tressy and Glamour Misty, and many others--were tailor-made to show off these incredible creations!  Some of these dolls were precursors to Barbie, others were competition or even knock-offs. There is much talk about the quality of Barbie fashions--the fabrics, the trims, little buttons and zippers, the incredible sewing detail.  Well, the wardrobes of many of THESE ladies. although less known, in many cases match or exceed the quality of Barbie's!

Come along, and let me introduce you to some of these dolls.  Although Betsy McCall, Penny Brite, Ginny and Pepper are NOT technically fashion dolls, these dolls are of the era, and their wardrobes are fine enough and varied enough that I am going to include them here.
